NUBRI Research and Projects
The research projects in the NUBRI aim to reduce the health burden caused by a wide range of pathogens in Sudan. Projects include the identification and investigation of genetic polymorphisms, including single nucleotide polymorphisms, idles, genomic duplications, and genomic rearrangements that may contribute to phenotypic traits ranging from increased virulence to drug resistance. These research projects would impact the researchers and students by being involved in project activities including training in advanced analyses as well as in using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) approaches. This would create benefits for the department and the institute and would also open opportunities for regional and international collaborative projects.
