NUBRI is dedicated to computational biology/bioinformatics driven life science research aimed at the discovery of bimolecular mechanisms guiding biological phenomena. The final goals are scientific advancement leading to economic and societal impact for Sudan.

Objectives

• Developing knowledge and generating information necessary for understanding molecular mechanisms of disease.
• Developing diagnostic technologies and medical cures and treatments.
• Fueling databases with biological data of local non-human samples, including pathogens, animals, and plants.
• Providing resources and training support for clinical researchers and students to enrich cooperative investigation.
• Building capacity in bioinformatics and genomics in Sudan, and assisting Sudanese scientists in these fields.
