Reverse Vaccinology and Immunoinformatics Approaches for Multi-Epitope Vaccine Design Against Klebsiella pneumoniae
Duration: 2023–2025
Overview
Objectives
- Identify core antigenic proteins from the K. pneumoniae genome using reverse vaccinology tools.
- Predict B-cell, cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL), and helper T lymphocyte (HTL) epitopes using immunoinformatics algorithms.
- Design a multi-epitope vaccine construct incorporating adjuvants and linkers for enhanced immunogenicity.
- Model and validate the 3D structure of the vaccine construct using molecular dynamics simulations.
- Simulate immune responses in silico to predict vaccine efficacy and safety. Lay the groundwork for future wet-lab testing and preclinical evaluation of the proposed vaccine.
